About the Journal

Journal of Kuntowijoyo’s Thought (JKT) is an interdisciplinary, open-access, and peer-reviewed scientific journal. It is published by LLDIKTI Region V Yogyakarta and managed by the Institute for Research and Community Service Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa. JKT publishes scholarly articles that integrate the values of transcendence, humanization, and liberation in the development of natural sciences, engineering, health sciences, and social sciences, based on the prophetic paradigm of Kuntowijoyo.

The journal focuses on interdisciplinary studies that connect science, technology, and humanistic as well as ethical values. It accepts various types of manuscripts, including theoretical studies, empirical research, and literature reviews, with contributions expected to generate scientific and societal impacts at both regional and global levels.

The scope of JKT includes: (1) transcendence in natural sciences; (2) liberation in engineering and technology, including renewable energy and engineering practices; (3) humanization in technology and social sciences, such as artificial intelligence and digital ethics; (4) integration of values and scientific knowledge, including epistemology and philosophy of science; and (5) health and prophetic bioethics, covering medical ethics and public health systems.
